A Sad Day in Texas

This happened last evening (link below) - I just feel sick, didn't know this officer but anytime something like this happens it just hurts so bad. I wanted to share this to remind us all of just what our officers do and how lucky we are that when we go to work we pretty much don't need to worry too much about this kinda stuff. Kinda makes some of our petty complaints about PD issues mute IMHO. We also had an FBI agent shot in the leg overnight during a weapons sting operation. Thankfully he will be fine.

So for everyone - when ya see a cop today - send a friendly smile or wave and a thought to the sky for his / her safety.

So they denied his bond but now Mexico is gettin him a lawyer to protect his rights. I found out last time this happened one of the accused intead of going to prison for life cause in Texas this is a death sentence - it's Federal if ya kill a cop - the piece of trash went to Mexico on a plea deal cause of the Mexcan attorney he had. They showed video - he arrived to a hero's welcome in Mexico cause he had killed a US officer of the law.......... I just wanted to update what's goin on cause it ain't all about Iraq, GW and Bill and I just don't want anyone to forget the price and American had to pay for not having secure borders. Granted perhaps he shoulda patted alittle better but he didnt' deserve a death like this............
