| A comedians job is to take snipits and make someone look stupid for the sake of laughter? It was funny but the unfunny thing is there are Americans that don't see the kinda damage this does to those with the IQ that sees this as "truth". It also will make wonderful airing on Al Jerzeer.......... If the comedian were over there in a hotage situation - they would cut his throat just like they would cut mine. No difference - to a terrorist...... we are both Americans - and with this kind of "humor" they would think they are doin us a favor........... cause of the commidians viewpoint. I think he should do HIS job and stay outta politics - Those kinda skits are for Roasts and Toasts....... He could actually do a piece on something really funny like - how well he can do his job as a comedian. I found it funny but not appropriate - too many idiots out there that actually think he is quoting actuall events instead of patchworking pieces together so he can make a buck at the expense of our democratic system. Funny - but sad............. I miss Jerry Lewis, Jack Benny, George & Gracie, and the like that could take life experience and make you laugh. This is finding laughter at the expense of free society.............. just sad. Don't get me wrong Bubba - it has a place -

| Jerry Lewis, Jack Benny, George & Gracie---------damn you are an OLD LADY there Texie!! Remember Ralph & Norton on the Honeymooners?? Lucille Ball, Barney Fife, Redd Foxxx, George Jefferson, Laugh-In??? The "good ol' days"!! Everthing was simple, funny, clean, and the whole family laughed!! |

| I just consider other things funny. Don't mean there isn't a time and place for that kinda of humor - just seems that's all we see or hear. The masters of humor worked at thier craft - the ones' nowdays don't seem to work very hard and thay make and demand more money than any of the masters ever got. Course same with sports - sign of the sad times. BTW - I'm not old - my TV viewing was supervised........... well hell guess I am old.

| The thing is that most politicians make a comedians job very easy. The comedian doesn't have to write a joke, they just have to tell you what a politician said or did, that is where the funny comes from now. We have a bunch of comedic idiots as politicians. Maybe they don't mean to be, but that is the result that we get.

| I didn't mean to diss your post - that's not what I meant - it was just an obervation on my part. I think it does show us comedians now days don't have to work too hard on the TV - he probably was a very funny guy when he did his stand up in a smoke filled club - but he doesn't have to do that anymore it looks like. Looks like he has plenty of editors to do his job for him. Kinda like some of our broadcasters they call newsmen........ I'm sorry if I offended ya Bubba - you are among my favs on here!

| Did any of you all watch the show, "Last Comic Standing"?? It was pretty good, and the winner was a disabled kid from Denver, named Josh Blue. He was pretty funny. Kept me laughing anyway!! By the way Texie, you are a real "comedian" at times yourself. But I just check that off, due to your "advanced age"! Also, Bubba don't get offended, he gets even!!! |
