| The big complaint about anonymous posting seems to come from public officials. Often it appears to be an attempt to discredit the poster and distract folks from the real issue. I’m sure if the issue is important it will be followed up by letters or in person by someone with a face and a name. We have some LEO’s here that often give us insight on things that we likely wouldn’t get if they had to use their real names. I have no problem with accepting their comments as truthful and would rather they remained anonymous than quit.

| This is what was posted on the other board that got Dan Reichenborn all hot and bothered. Several people were at that meeting and came away with the same opinion. He is confusing us with the other board. Or maybe he's not, and is voicing his stance on all discourse. Regardless, as an elected official, he should know he is open to public scrutiny, signed or not. According to the thread, Dan doesn't like opposing views, even in person. He would like to silence all public discourse. We shouldn't worry about what those kind of people say about anonymous boards. They lose their credibility when they act the same about non-anonymous speech.
