So, I went to get my hairs cut today...

I had been waiting a while when one of the "stylists" finishes up with her customer and she says, "Are you ready?"

I responded, "No thank you, I'd rather wait for John to cut my hair."

She - "Well he's going to be a while and I can take care of you right now."

Me - "Thanks for your concern but I'd prefer to wait for John."

She - "Is it because I'm black?"

Me (Trying not to giggle) - "Nope it's because of all the cranial accessories you have really creep me out." (Thanks for that one Mitch)

She - Blink blink... blink

Me - "The hardware for the piercings coming out of your face bother me and I'd rather wait for John."

She - blink

John (Trying not to giggle) - I'm almost done.

She - blink... blink

Someone else walks in.

She - I can take you right over here.

The piercings really do creep me out and I've asked for a new waitress on occasion when they have too much poking out of them for me to eat comfortably but I didn't think she'd have actually believed that I ALWAYS wait for John because he's the only one there who does my hair right without me having to draw him a picture.

Is it because I'm black... please.

its true, and i hate it when people use the race card
in highschool it sounded like this.

"raul go sit down and do your paper"
"why miss"
"because you need to do your paper, everyone else is working"
"man miss, you are racist"

OH it happens in my wife's school all the time. If she tells one of the Indian kids to get to work they immediately go for "It's because I"m brown"

If you play into that nonsense - you deserve the frustration that comes with it. I always laughed at someone when they said - "its' cause I'm black..... (didn't happen often) and when it did it was a joke usually........ I find if you ignore the implication........ it goes away on it's own........ they (anyone) knows it's cause "its the way it is........ don't have nuthion to do with color"....... that's just a poor excuse for bein substandard and lazy - ya don't need color for that.............. plenty of white texas trailer trash - nobody has a patent on stupid! Nuf to go around for everyone!
