My wife suggested boloney for our Thanksgiving meal, but i went ahead and sprang for hotdogs! Well, if you look at the ingredients, it says "Turkey lips" right there besides the "pig snouts"!

I prefer to fry my turkey over oven baking.

Fried turkeys are the bomb! However....a lady in Blue Springs (a suburb of KC) lost her house to a turkey frier today. She had it the suggested distance from her house out in the driveway. It still caught fire after she'd removed the turkey and caught the house on fire. Sad deal. Bet her shopping sucked today.

You have to use the correct oil, maintain the correct temperature, make sure the turkey is thawed completely, make sure the oil level is not too high, and so on. I have deep fried over 50 turkeys, and never had a problem. It just takes some common sense and attention! And mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmboy, are they good!!!
