| Last I heard Cimarron was not taking out of district kids. Secondly, do not kid yourself that there are not problems in the small school. I am a firm believer that there is a similar percentage of the wrong element in whichever school you go to. I went to a small school many years ago, and there were drugs and alcohol, and sex in the small school. So do not blow smoke up my tailpipe and tell me that there are no problems in small schools. |

| Oh, I completely agree with the lack of discipline. I remember in school that it was the kiss of death to be sent to the principals office, because you knew he had a paddle, and was willing and able to use it. I know it kept me in line, because I was not about to do anything to get sent there for the solution to MY problem. All I was getting at was that if you think that sending your kid to Minneola or Spearville, or Jetmore, etc is going to keep them safe and out of trouble, you are just deluding yourself. There are benefits of the small school, but there are also many benefits to the larger one. I guess I just get tired of hearing people talk about all of the rotten kids in the Dodge City Schools. Well, there are a lot of good, upright kids that seem to be getting the short end of the stick when this attitude is so prevalent. |

| I see your point, DirtDigger - but the bad kids get the press. Good kids do too - when they publish the Honor Roll (if they still do) - but nobody takes the time to read it unless their kid is listed. So we naturally hear the bad more than the good. I know my sis and her hubby wouldn't think of sending their kids anywhere else.
