| Friar Tuck Hello everyone. I am new to the forum. Not sure I'm doing this right but I thought I'd try to post an introduction. If this is the wrong way to do it you have my apologies. I saw the site on the net and thought it might be a good way to keep up with what's happenin in a town I lived in back in the stone age. It was a long time ago 1965-1969. played with a band back then called Friar Tuck and the Monks, who by the way were recently nominated for the Kansas Music Hall of Fame. Played a lot of late night dances at the Hillcrest Inn across the hiway from the old St. Mary's college. Played pool in Klines pool hall. Drank plenty of beer at and Bill's Tavern and Fred's. By the way if anyone is interested there are some great old pictures and historical information on the Friar Tuck website. You can find it at Friar Tuck and the Monks It was a great time a year ago when I returned for the Dodge High super reunion in the summer of 2005. The city has changed alot but it still had the same feel. I'll likely read more than I talk but it's great to have this connection. That's enough for now. Good to be among you. Friar Tuck     |
