| I personally had better luck with DN, rather than cox when it came to storms. The only times I had problems with my dish, is when we had 30-50 mph winds, or extremely heavy rain. But my cox would go out sometimes when the wind was only 15-20. Also, dish placement is a factor sometimes too. Mine was on the back of the house, so the wind wasn't hitting it all the time. But, with the smaller dish's, and the mounting system, they don't move as much as you might think. They stay pretty steady. And, you can't beat the price right now. My bill's currenlty 43 dollars, and that's with a dvr. To get a similar setup thru cox, would be 75 a month.

| On my Dish, when I used the saucer, I used to get quite a few channels. Then I put up a dessert dish, and got some premiums. Advanced up to a dinner dish, and got more. Now I have the meat platter, curved with dual LNB's, and I got way more than I can watch, but it keeps me out of trouble! |

| got the top 60 plus-with locals Programming -- Packages -- Basic -- America's Top 60 Plus plus my dvr. Since I get the reciever inluded with my package, there's no extra charge for it. There is a 4.98 charge for the dvr. With cox, they want 14.90 for the dvr reciever. Plus, if I have a digital box, up to the dvr, there's an additional 14-18 dollar fee for digital service. For what I pay now, I get the channels I want, without a bunch I won't watch. Plus the dvr. So, I figured it up on cox's website, and for all I want, plus a lot I don't want would be 75 a month or so. Plus installation. 29.95 for cox to push a button and turn it on. I'll stick with my dish, since installation was free, and they'll move it free whereever I move.
