Twas the month before Christmas...

Wow...

Yep...last Christmas...when I worked at Havertys Fine Furniture.... at HHI, SC
we had to answer phones..... Happy Holidays.... so as not to offend ....
..... Why??
It was corporate that issued that memo.... and the company is 120 years old...

Who told them to change things.... Who.... is so important to get them to stop a tradition that had been around for so many years and stopped in 2005....

My manager had been with the company 19 years and that was the first year to ban Merry Christmas...

shaking my head on this one......... sigh

That's cool............ course if ya wanna hear Merry Christmas......... Go to WalMart............. and come to my clinic..............LOL

Every time I see one of these things lamenting the loss of the "true meaning of Christmas" I just have to chuckle.

If hearing someone say "Happy Holidays" offends you and makes you believe that they've taken the Christmas Spirit away from you then... well you simply never HAD the Christmas Spirit.

If you can't share these few weeks of the year with people who don't celebrate your holiday but do have their own then you are being selfish and maybe that's the new meaning of xmas.

Wouldn't it be better if you simply enjoy your holiday, let other enjoy theirs and everyone just get over themselves for once?

I mean honestly when did "Happy Holidays" start translating into "Go F**K yourself" and who was the first interpreter.
