Dodge House, Marshall Ranch, Poor to say the least

Relatives took us and the whole family (17) out to Marshall Ranch Dodge House for the Christmas Eve noon meal.
The service was good but everything else was mostly a joke.
Brisket was way over cooked, chicken fried would have been better if they didn't make it at all, grilled chicken was the best they had to offer and everything else lends itself to getting a real cook to have a go at it.
The salad bar was basically little or nothing and you got all this for only $11.95 per person. What a rip off.
It wasn't worth $4.95 per person.
But like I said, the service was good.
Haven't heard anything about the coffee house except it is expensive, and thankfully they don't actually make the overpriced cheesecake.
Saddened by the whole experience on their poorly kept dusty trail, stick to the show, it’s usually good.

I've only been to the Breakfast Buffet since they took over the Dodge House. When they were only out at the Ranch, we use to go eat lunch there all the time. They had the best fried chips..........

Musicmaker...you are just one more in a long line of people that have negative things to say about the M. Ranch. There is obviously a pattern here and I suppose someday they will go out of business.

Normally, the waitresses are pretty good, especially the hostess. The food, unfortunately, is normally bad. I think the "cook" is a "south of the border", anyway she doesn't speak any English. I have eaten there several times, and the only thing that I might possibly recommend is the breakfast buffet; however they only have it on Saturday and Sunday. Seems like they pay more attention to the coffee shop downtown than to the restaurant. Anyway, the only person they have to blame is their-selves.

Yep.... Overpriced to say the least!! If the food was very good it might be worth 12.00 per person, but I have had better food at a $4.00 buffet.

The all you can eat buffet: I didn't get all I could eat, but I got all I could stand.

All I could stand buffet. That is a priceless line. Sure to become a classic. Maybe you should copyright or trademark that line.

I remember an all-you-can eat buffet once that hired local bikers to stand around and if you went back more than twice, one of the leathered brothers would get in your way and say, "That's all you can eat!"
