Anyone know naything about cats?

Words.........this is advise from a true cat lover;

They have shitty attitudes (which, by the way is why I love them. They don't care about me anymore than I want to care about them!)

They also get their noses bent out of shape; Once, my husband left for a 4 day hunting trip, and our cat was so PO'd that she took a big crap in his favorite chair! (I thought it was hillarous!)

They usually bond with one person; and if that person pisses them off; watch out.

If your cat is peeing where it shouldn't, I'd say the one person it's attached to has either pissed it off by doing something (that's what you have to figure out), or like Tex said, the cat box is full and that's your sign to get it changed out.

Good luck. If you can figure them out, they are AWESOME pets.

I love cats - never had a bad one. The one we have now is really wierd - loves men - which is odd for a cat - they usually like women.

I never had a cat that sprayed - course all my animals and husbands are neutared! I have heard of folks with cat issues but I believe in letting your cat know you run the house and there is punishment for bad bahavior - if my cat bites (which he likes to do to get your attention since he has no claws) I kick - not hard - just enough so he knows there is a conswquence - I usually miss but it scares the hell outta him anyhow.

He likes toes......... first he's luvin up on ya then next thing wham! Our cat has had location issues but usually it's an upset digestive system more than an upset cat. Cats overall prefer to use a litterbox (this is the first cat that didn't use the doggie door) I'm not a litterbox person........ mine is covered, I use multicat litter and change it once a week - without fail - I keep it in the laundry room where it's private for the cat..........Good luck!

Me too Tex; Clean the catbox every Sunday (no matter what) and we keep it in the Laundry room........I'd rather have a cat over a dog any day of the week...........

Oh Lurker.......I didn't mean that I didn't LIKE dogs; it's just when you travel, etc.; dogs are more of a pain; have to have someone come and feed them, water them, etc......

With a cat, you give them a clean catbox, and 2 weeks worth of food, and they don't care if you EVER come back!

Yeah.....and cats don't run out in the yard and eat doggie doo ....then come lick you in the face....
