Back to the topic of this thread...I was originally upset that I got stuck with a 12 hour shift that ends at 11:30am on Thanksgiving Day, but now have either mellowed or am too tired to care. I am thankful that I have a job that allows me to afford the things that interest me, thankful for my family who cares for me when it seems nobody else does, thankful for the Dodgeboard friends that make me laugh when I read some of the things that they say, and thankful for the Dodgeboard Admin for taking the time and effort involved to give us all an online place to go and shoot the crap or play games and listen to music!

I'm Thankful for my wonderful husband...He deserves Saint status for putting up with me. For my stepson, I love him like he was my own, even though he tests me every day. For my parents...I couldn't have asked for better ones. And I thank God for all the special people in my life.

Other things, now that turkey day is done, I am thankful for:

A 16 game season.....because us Dallas fans need 16 games.

A 25# turkey......because I do not have to cook again for a week.

A good sense of humor........because I got to meet my daughter's newest boyfriend. Trust me, he is thankful I have a good sense of humor too. (especially after seeing the hickey on my daughter's neck I explained to him the complicated process involved with eating hamburger through a straw)

My new hardwood floor.......because my cat has learned how to run on it, my dogs haven't. I believe they are thankful for cushioned couches.
