Last night on the History Channel I saw a very interesting story about the Maya calendar that sounded very familiar. The Maya calendar is said to be 1/10,000th day more accurate than our present day calendar. What was interesting is that they used this calendar to make predictions for the future. I saw many parallels to Nostradamus. In fact I'd say if Nostradamus had knowledge of the Maya this with out a doubt is what he used.

The Maya believed history repeated itself every 260 years in a 20 year event. That is to say events that happen during each 20 term repeats itself every 260 years. So could Nostradamus used this calendar to make his predictions? Using vague descriptions of events from 260 years ago could fit the events of today?

What I also found interesting was that the Maya, using this calendar, had estimated the earth to be 65 billion years old and the next "end of this time" is December 21th 2012. 2006-2012, according to the Maya calendar, is predicted to be the cleansing period and the return of the "great one." Hum, I've heard that somewhere before.

Anyway, what say we put this calendar to the test? Lets see some predictions for our near future based on events from 260 years ago.

Hillary Clinton is the Anti Christ....She gets elected and puts policies into place that place our civilization on the path to ruin. She appeases the terrorist, tries to have meetings with the little tyrant from Iran, China and North Korea...as she is giving them tax payer dollars to not make nukes (they still use that money to make nukes...sound familiar Bill?) and eventually set one off on U.S. soil. She doesn't retalitate because the Dems blame our evil ways as provoking them to do it. 1000's of people die and those that don't have free gov't healthcare to take care of them but the lines are long and the service sucks.

I had a guy tell me this yesterday........ told me the end was 2020 I think or 2012........... either way I figgered if that's the case - I might as well light back up and enjoy myself while I can!............... LOL That's my immediate prophecy............

Good thing I don't buy into all that....... PS they moved the doomsday clock forward by 5 minutes....... now it reads 11:55 instead of 11:50

The Maya believed the world lived in cycles. As one cycle ended(2012) a new cycle begins. We are supposedly at the end of this cycle and on December 21th 2012 something really extraordinary is expected to happen.

Of course one can simply write it off as a bunch of superstitious hogwash made up by a uneducated primitive culture, but it does make you think when todays science will even admit their calendar was more accurate than our is today. They must have known something we still don't know.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting how close the Maya predictions were to Nostradamus's predictions. Almost as if they were reading from the same book. I thought It might be interesting to see if it really works.
