Girl Scout Cookies

I just recently ordered my yearly supply of girl scout cookies and discovered that this years cookies are transfat free!?! Now I can sleep at night KNOWING as I shove handful after handful of these delights into my pie hole they will be transfat free.....It may add minutes to my life...woo hoo.

I stopped buying GS cookies when I found out how little money they actually get per box.

I skip the middle man, don't buy them and give them a $10 donation.

I can't hardly bring myself to look at the cookies. When I lived in Dodge, I dated a girl scout and her mom was way to into the whole cookie sales thing. They had them everywhere at there house and they always wanted to send me home with a box or two. They were good then, but you can really have too much of a good thing.

I take it you were both the same age????...................... that just read funny to me - but then it's early and I don't have many thoughts in my head yet................ resonable doubt is sumthing that comes to me as the day goes along........

Yeah, bargod, we try to do the same thing with our cupboards and freezers full of girl scout cookies - but it's not because we have a girl scout in the house! We just get hit on separately by too many of the little buggers. This year, we decided to buy only 1 box from each Girl Scout who asked. We bought a grand total of 2 boxes. Where are they when you need 'em?

I even have a file cabinet drawer at the office full of them. No chance of starvin' to death if we're all snowed in at the office!!!!!

You are right. I do the same. All 3 of my girls worked their butts off for the sales. It is soooo much better to donate even $10 than to buy the cookies.

Although, the GS make such a big deal about the girls selling as much as possible and the competition. If you don't sell anything, you don't get prizes, awards, etc. No discrimination here -- my son encountered the same with the Boy Scouts and the popcorn sales.
