| We didn't get much snow but it's colder then a well diggers ass out there today. Hey KCM did you get any snow in the big city?

| We got about 32 flakes here in T Town so far.

| I am not sure how much we got... probably a couple of inches. The bad part is the ferocious wind gusting up to 65 mph. Ripped the door right out of my hand when I went out to get some firewood and keeps blowing the pilot out on the water heater. Very surprised the ice on the lines has not yet caused any power outages. The wind also makes it difficult to heat the house with the wood burning stove- may have to turn on the central heat for the first time this year if the wind doesn't die down a little. |

| I would guess there were about 50-60 power lines snapped off between Wright and Spearville this morning. Both sides of the road, some power lines were right next to the highway. We had about 1-2" in Spearville, but the wind did a number on my Christmas lights and trees.

| Wow - we didn't have it nearly that bad. It was colder than a well-digger's....well, what you said. And the wind - 60 to 70 mph the news said. In the country it would be worse, but we're fairly well protected by other homes and tall trees along the creek bed. I wanted to see how the brand new homes fared but didn't have time this morning to drive through the subdivision. Usually a new subdivision loses quite a bit of roofing material when the wind blows like that!!! We got some rain last night - but that was mixed in with the wind, so I'm not sure how much rain we actually got. It was hitting the house with some force, though. No snow. They're talking possibly some tonite. That means........the VW sits and I get to drive the truck!!! I love the winter!!!

| The roads are not totally treacherous, but the wind blows you around so much that you slip and slide anyway! I was supposed to go up to NW Kansas today, but decided it was much "nicer" down here!! NW Kansas is a total BLIZZARD!!! |

| No sooner had I clicked "post" on that last one than somebody in the office yelled out that it was snowing. No joke?! Now that I have the puddle under my desk cleaned up, it is snowing, but not that much. Nothing's sticking - the temp is hovering at 32 - the wind is just so damned cold!!! I didn't bring a coat today.......the warm one just wouldn't have looked good with my outfit. I did have the sense to wear boots, though. Mostly cuz the heels on the boots are long enough that my slacks don't drag on the floor. Which reminds me, doesn't look like it's been vacuumed in a few weeks - need to get on those janitor-types and get it done. Now what what this post about???....................
