Long Marriages

Omigosh. I just noticed Mr. Hester's obit in the Globe. He and his dear wife had been married 71 years! That's more than some lifetimes! I just can't imagine how lonely she'll be without him. They must even look alike by now.

I've only been married (this time! ) 5 years! How long have some of you been married (if you are)? Just curious.

My first was almost 2 years. What a mistake. hope my next one is a little better.

Next June, it'll be 59 years for my grandparents. We're already talking about what to do for thier 60th. I can only hope I have that.

Was married 11 years the first time. Swore I'd never do that again.

But I found a real keeper, and it only took him 4 years to convince me to marry him. Been married a little over a year now, wish I had done it sooner.

He's a Saint to put up with me.
