Your favorite Holiday (Christmas) movies

My three faves are:

"Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"----- This one is a classic. It's innocence is lost on todays generation but how many of us couldn't wait to see it every year? "Bumbles bounce" is still a line I use. How many of us, as kids, could relate to the island of misfit toys? Yeah, I still love this movie.

"A Christmas Carol"------- The one with George C. Scott is my favorite one. It's message still sticks with me today.

"A Christmas Story"------- How anybody can watch this movie and not just about piss their pants in laughter gets me. Again, for some reason my kids do not find it as funny but that is because they never lived that kind of life. I remember getting my tongue stuck to a flagpole, having to eat soap, forgetting what to ask Santa for........damn, I am laughing even now.

My kids love "Christmas Story" and they are 29 and 24. I think that when they were watching it I musta been cleanin and cookin or on the patio with the eggnog - I know they love this film they used to try to get me to watch it all the time. They still watch it every season. I think I watched it a few years back - it was funny. My kids related to it too especially the mouth soap scene - course they were raised with soap in the mouth. I was so glad when I could just squirt some Dawn in their mouth - they got so good at it they didn't even put up a fight - just opened their mouth - they knew there were other punishments a lot worse than the soap. LOL yeah - good film

I still miss the old animated ones - ya know the puppet antimation. When the comercials had Santa on a gliding Norelco?.......I just miss those. My grandson watches the old Jack Frost - the wone with buddy hackett.....he gets so excited when I put that DVD in.......duing the dog days fo summer we were watchin Jack Frost.........course my family has never paid to much attention to what time of year it was - sometimes ya need Christmas sprit at the strangest time. I never put up the films OR the music - they could be playin at any time around here..

Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

"Merry Christmas! Shitter was full." I actually turned that line into a ringtone for my phone.
