Finely took the plunge

I FINELY DID IT

I joined AARP

I was kicking and screaming all the way but I finely gave in. Could have joined at 50 but You gotta be kidding me.....isn't that the Association for the Aging Republican Party Hells bells I didn't qualify for that.

Fu*k me running and dip me in Sh*t, I never dreamed I would be interested in this.

Hey, they got alot of good programs, you know discounts and a whole bunch of stuff that I have yet to check out. Trips and stuff too, problem is I don't like to be around a bunch of old people

So I got my first online newsletter................. and anyone that may be interested

I got a letter yesterday with my AARP card in it that said We see you have not signed up for an AARP membership yet." I'm not sure if it can do me any good or not.

Rest assured JW, AARP’s politics are not Republican.

I know Hwy

I was just trying to be funny, and there are real comedians out of work.

Detector, I guess just research their web site and see if you may be interested. I haven't yet , but want to check on insurance basically.
They may be able to save me a few pennies ............... hopefully

Detector, I checked out the dental plan and it seems to be very reasonable, however they don't give you your out of pocket expense for each procedure, I will call them next week to see if I can get more detail

Celebrate!!!

Eligibility for AARP is something to celebrate!!! We "over 50"s" are going to prove to the world that we are to be going to be doing things differently than the generations before us, and fully intend to have fun doing so. The nursing home industry is already preparing for us, as they are aware we are going to demand quality care, individualized programs and activities other than Bingo. We look different, act different and arenot willing to just sit in a recliner and watch the world go by. The advertising industry is also finally realizing we are the ones with financial power and do not particularly take their impossibly skinny models and actors seriously. Give me a man with experience and gray hair- not a poster boy for eternal youth. What ever would you talk about with someone who has "heard about" the Beatles!!
So, jeezeweeze, smile smuggly and strut your stuff!!! Go for every benefit you can get and laugh all the way to the bank with your savings! You have earned it!

I joined for a few years, then dropped it because I couldn't see any better benefits than I already had. Now they won't leave me alone. I get mail from them at least once a week. Besides that, I am not "retired"! American Association for Retired Persons?? Unless that means "retarded"?? By the way Weezie, can't you take that tooth out to brush it, then put it back in??
