| Update OK I belw my Christmas (OOPS) HAPPY HOLIDAYS cash (I hope I don't end up getting coal) ON a Dewalt DW 735 on Ebay. Thanks for all the input, it is supposed to be delivered Friday or Monday so as soon as I get it broke in I'll let you know how it works for me! Quote:

| I did a goooooogle on it cuz I didn't know much about it and now I think you will be very happy with it. A much nicer machine. Take some pictures of your work and post them.

| I just finished making my second picture frame ever. It wasn't horrible and I've learned a few lessons on it already but I'm really enjoying the process.

| So far I just bought a couple of 1x2 sticks of pine and use the router table and the miter saw. I found a very nice mat cutter for a REALLY good price a few weeks ago and I decided that I should shoot the pic, cut the mat and make the frames. I bought a couple of books on the subject and then asked a few people who do wood working and I'm teching myself through trial and error. The second one is better than the first so I'm going the right direction.

| Congratulations on finding the mat cutter. That stuff (mat) is too darned expensive. Post a picture of your frame(s) sometime. On the router, I have a Stanley 55 combination hand plane that was used (before routers) to cut the fancy stuff on trim. Just wish I had more knives for it.
