Road Conditions

Anyone been from Dodge to Cimarron or GC this morning? How are the roads?

I was not on West 400, but the other roads like 283 N, and Garnett (Correction Line) were iced over and very slick.

My guess is that the sand trucks have hit West 400, but be careful...lots of uninsured, unlicensed and inexperienced (in the snow) drivers out there. Most of the time, it's the other guy you have to watch for.

It amazes me how some people think they can still drive like an idiot on ice and snow! Like Tee says, you have to watch out for the other vehicles, and then sometimes it is still kind of tricky!!

Yup, between the idiots that drive fast right up to the stop light or sign and expect to still stop, and the @ssholes who drive so slow they impede all the traffic around them making it even more dangerous than the fast-driving idiots, makes a guy have a large case of road rage.

I was on my way home today from Oklahoma and had to run off on the side of the road and almost stop so some ******* that was passing a semi could get back in without hitting me.

Same with us yesterday coming back from Scott City. You always have to watch out for the other aholes that think they are driving in a Nascar race. And then you have the other drivers going 25 holding back traffic, counted 25 cars and trucks behind us, they finally pulled off the side to let people by and then the semis pass at 80 and like you said, you have to pull over to let the aholes back in so they can follow the next car going 30.

You know...these roads out here are dangerous as hell and it pays to be patient and be courteous. A lot of people just aren't that way, they drive like they are the only a-holes on the road. Between the farm vehicles, the trucks, narrow roads, winds etc SW KS is a dangerous place to drive.

I don't know how I ever put up with the driving out there. Up here, I can't wait to get to a 4-lane divided street/highway. But I have the same problems - some idiot going 60 holding everybody back. At least I don't have the idiots that pull out to pass and don't get back in before oncoming traffic has to pull over.

The highways around Dodge sucked. I wonder why the road people didnt spray them. They were snow packed and icey. I could only drive 45 the other night. I hope everybody got their stupid driving out of their system. I wasnt out much for this one, but will probably be out for the next one.
