Baby clothes: Split from the McD’s thread.

I stopped at the Mickey D's today in Liberal on my way back from the OK panhandle... We had the baby with us so we went through the drive through. When the lady (appeared to be some kind of manager) handed me my food I asked her if the order was complete and correct. She said of course it is. I asked her if she would stake her job on it. She just looked at me. As I drove away I got to the exit and my wife noticed we were missing a sandwich. I looked up and there was a Mcdonalds kid running after my car...lol. He said I need to drive back around so they can give me my sandwich. I just took my sandwich and didn't say a word...it wasn't worth my breath...lol

At least they chased you to tell you to come back in. Somebody else woulda just shrugged their shoulders and let you drive off and starve! How does that baby travel? Grandson can't stay awake. About 5 minutes and he's out like a light. They only leave here or leave their house to come here when it's naptime. Otherwise, it puts his whole day out of whack.

She travels quite well. When we go home to my mom's (5 hours) she sleeps until Wichita then we stop, do a diaper change, feed the kid and let her get out and stretch out for a bit...then when we hit the road it's about 5 min and she's out. To my wife's mom's it's only a couple of hours so she pretty much sleeps the entire way. I think she would like a forward facing car seat so she could set up more but pediatrician says not until 12 months old. We have a mirror in the backseat facing her so I can look in my mirror and see her in that mirror and see what she's doing...

grandson's about to grow out of his rear-facing car seat. If he goes into another rear-facing car seat, he'll only be in it for a couple more months, then he can go to a forward-facing seat. Hard to justify spending money for one. It's going to be unbelievable for him when he gets into a forward-facing carseat. Unless he just falls asleep.

Some of the nicer fwd facing ones now recline so they are not sitting up straight all the time.

Hmmmm. I'll have to look at those. The PX really doesn't have a good selection. I'll have to buy it at Target, I guess.

I was down there today and didn't even think to look. Thanks for the tip. They're usually cheaper.

The Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory usually has a GREAT selection at great prices. Babies R us does too but is a little more expensive. I like the clothes at Babies R Us.

Daughter in law had to work on Friday after Thanksgiving. Her bank is only a block from the Babies R Us store in the south side of Overland Park. So she went early to work and found some deals. Their formula - Similac, I think, was $10 a can and it was a big can (powdered) and the diapers they use were a case of 200+ for either $10 or $15. She said her trunk was full before she even got to work! I always thought they were a tad pricey, but it looks like when they throw a sale, they throw a sale!
