I was looking for a swing to purchase for my baby on Walmart.com today and I came upon one that I liked. It is the Fisher-Price Rainforest Open Top Take Along Swing, Model # K7203. It is located here:

I thought I would do some price shopping so I decided to Google the swing. I came upon this:

I thought to myself, "That swing looks just like the one I was going to purchase, but it could be a different model number." Then I read into the recall page:

This shocked me a bit! I decided to take a look at WalMart.com to check this out. I went to the bottom of the home screen, under the help section and clicked on Product Recall Info. I was thinking to myself that it may be possible that Wal-Mart hadn't seen the recall yet because according to that previous recall site, the recall was released May 30, 2007. Much to my dismay, I find this:

THEY KNOW AND YET IT IS STILL BEING SOLD ONLINE AND IN THE STORE (I just saw it there, today)!!!

I am completely shocked at this point! I almost purchased this item for my own baby and there is a recall on it with no warning in the item description (AT LEAST)!!! I say "Screw this". I call 1-800-WalMart. I told the woman that I had noticed they are selling an item in-store and online with a recall and the recall is even posted on their site! She replies, "I'm sorry ma'am. You can call walmart.com's hotline and ask them about this." I took the number from her and know if I call, I will just get a runaround. What should I do here? Should I call and just get the runaround or should I call someone? I don't know what to do! HELP!

I really don't want any babies to get hurt if this is ignored!

I just posted a review of the product on the site. I informed (hopefully) potential purchasers that it is on a recall list. Let's see if it ends up on the site. It said it will take 5-7 business days to review my post for inapropriate content. Let's see if recall info is deemed to be inappropriate.

Call the Assistant Manager at Walmart Adriana. Her phone number is 620-521-9291. She gave us the number and told us if anyone had an issue to call her directly and she would personally take care of it.

I say you call.. and you call and you call and if you get the run around each time you keep calling. Dont stop. It is a good cause.. it is for the safety of other babies. Dont NOT do anything because you might get the run around... I do believe someone will listen..If not walmart.. then you all the manufacture of the baby swing.
