Bush Pardon's Eight Drug Dealer's

While ignoring pardons for Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean...

I got this in my email and thought it was a good idea. Also, at the bottom of the email is the mailing addresses to send Christmas cards to the imprisoned Border Patrol Agents.

++Immediate Action Requested++

Call the White House Today and urge the President to Pardon
Ramos and Compean before Christmas!

12/17/2007

I've just received word that today (Monday) tens of thousands
of citizens representing dozens of groups and organizations
working to free Ramos and Compean will be calling the White
House urging the President to pardon Agents Ramos and Compean
before Christmas.

If you missed my earlier message, expressing my personal outrage
over the President pardoning eight drug dealers but passing
over Ramos and Compean, please see below.

After reading my update, please call the White House and then
forward this message to 20-30 friends--urge them to follow your
lead by calling as well.

Let's bury the White House under a blizzard of phone calls
demanding a Christmas Miracle for Ramos and Compean!

Thanks.

++++++++++++

I have just received a special "Media Advisory" from
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher's (R-CA) office condemning the
President's snub of Ramos and Compean.

The President has just released his latest
pardon and commutation list which does NOT include unjustly
imprisoned border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean!

However, the list does include EIGHT DRUG DEALERS!

This is utterly outrageous, and demands an immediate response
from grassroots Americans who want these two men freed and
returned to their families.

Please take a moment to contact the White House and express
your outrage over this obvious Presidential oversight!

White House Comments Line: 202-456-1111
White House Fax: 202-456-2461
Email the White House: comments@whitehouse.gov.

A growing movement is underway in Congress to petition
the President to immediately commute the lengthy prison terms
of Ramos and Compean and bring them home for Christmas.

After leaving your comments for the President, please contact
your two Senators and encourage them to join the effort in
Congress to free Ramos and Compean.

Here's your contact information for:

Sen. Brownback 202-224-6521
Sen. Roberts 202-224-4774

Finally, if you havent yet heard my exclusive interview with
Rep. Rohrabachers Director of Communication Tara Setmayer

This is really a hot hot issue. I know they don't deserve prison but they did hide evidence. I hear on the advice of thier supervisor but the truth is THEY should have known better. Good officers don't hide evidence or claim stupid when they get caught. In my heart I know they did what they thought was right, and there are others that work with them that probably are not being spotlighted like they were. I will call but again - thier hands were not completely clean in my eyes. At first I was totally behind them but there are some issues I think many don't bring to the forefront.

I hope they are released but I'm not sure they need to be on the border.

Did you read the article where it was admitted to Congress that some of thier supervisors, the DHS and prosecutors lied about them?

Yes..if you ever watch Glen Beck he's all over this like a fly on sh*t. He has featured this in depth several nights along with other stories about what is going on at the Mexican border. (Mexican military and Drug dealers coming across the border and kidnapping Americans) This is an outrage. I wonder what why Bush is in bed with the Mexican president. It seems he is reluctant to do anything against Mexico.

It's about money - without a doubt -

Yes Bubba - I heard a blip about that but not the whole story. I know I don't have the whole story - which is why I agreed to call. Like I said - in my heart I think they are the scapegoats but they also have admitted to NOT following policy with paperwork. When an agent or a cop picks up shell casings and doesn't do follow up paperwork on discharging their weapon - well there just isn't any excuse for that one.

Since the dipshit they shot lived, I do not think the punishment fits the crime. I think they should be removed from border patrol, but prison time is a bit much.

Especially when he was caught, yet again, smuggling more drugs in while he was on his way here to receive free health care for his injuries.

I couldn't agree more but I don't think patrol is where they should be. Maybe a few months of retraining in basic rules would be in order. I think they are salvageable officers. They made a bad choice and once their agency is sure they wouldn't do that again then I think they should be protecting our borders or our streets. They basically are or can be good officers. I do believe they were very mislead but they should have known better.
