| Where to sell gold? So I've decided to buy myself a new detector and figure I'll just sell some gold to make the purchase. Now where to sell? First I thought of the pawn shop because I used to sell all my gold there years ago. Before that I used to sell it to Jess down at the coin shop on Wyatt Earp. I take 80 grams of gold, 40gms 10k(market value $479.37) and 40gms 14k(market value $661.51) knowing I'm not going to get near market value, but holy crap! He offered me $285. WTF? Well needless to say he can kiss my rosy red pattoot. So does anyone know a place that buys gold locally at a fair price? Here is a picture.

| What about those "We buy gold" commercials on TV? You might give them a call and see what their going rate is.

| Or how about listing each item on e-bay and see if you can get more value that way? You can do a short auction with a reserve price.

| Can you just melt it down to bulk gold and then sell it to a jewler in a jewelry store that makes his own designs or to repair other gold jewelry?
