Peppercorn's?

Does anybody know what's going to happen to the old Peppercorn's? Mike Casey bought it, but I wasn't sure what was in store...

Mike is doing some extensive remodeling on the inside. Walls, floors and really giving it a good cleaning. You won't be able to walk straight in. It will have vacum door to help keep the cold air out. You will have to turn right once you walk in. The back deck is history in that there is no step up to get to it for easier access. You can say goodbye to $1 Tacos as we know it. I think he expects to open in about 30 days if things go well. I don't think it will be called Peppercorn's anymore.

I spoke to Mike briefly when I was at Cowtown on Thursday. It is my understanding that he might make Cowtown 100% a restaurant (ie: take out the Pour House) and make Peppercorns (or whatever he decides to call it) more of a bar/pool/darts place.

That doesn't sound like a good idea to me?! But then, it's not my place is it. We used to eat at Peppercorns alot, but the parking around there is seriously lacking.

The bankruptcy on their Garden City restaurant may have hurt them. Of course, the owner is not one known to pay his bills on time.

El Charro has been around forever. Sure it isn't authentic but it is loved by many. I have to go at least once when I am home. Maybe you are ordering the wrong thing.
