They only take cases where you owe a lot of money. The IRS seems to keep mine around the $2,000 range. I pay off one and then they call again saying I owe from [enter some year between now and 9 years ago]. With penalties of course.

What I don't get is I had my taxes done every year and they didn't say I owed them then.

Well considering that I will be using this money to stimulate my family's way into a home since they were unfairly evicted from their last one I dont think its bullshit at all.

I think its great that you can help out your family. I just can't see how passing out 1200 to most households is stimulating the economy unless you have a stake in Wal-Mart. Most people won't have anymore after they get there 1200 then the day before they recieve it. The way I see it, more people will have big screen TV's and Shit they don't need, but because you are getting money from Uncle Sam, hell lets go get a big screen on Sam, I mean Taxpayers. Maybe I am the one full of shit, if I am, tell me, I can Take the Heat.

Detector - I didn't think you could qualify for a mortgage if you still owed Uncle Sam. I'm glad you could - better to put that money in your own home than pay it to the gov't.

It seems to be a come and go type debt. I pay off what I'm told I owe and then get a call, usually 6 months later, telling me I owe from another year.

I've paid them for all the years I'm supposed to have paid with the exception of 2001. This "stimulus" check should pay it off. Now I wait and see what other ways they can come up with that I owe them.

Stimulus Payment

The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate.
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China.
If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If we purchase a computer it will go to India.
If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.
If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.
The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes and beer, since these are the only products still produced in the US.
