master?

Will we have to bow?, and call you MASTER? If so, way to go. Walter, give them hell, and keep the numbers up. Are they moving someone in, or does ARMY STRONG get his own station? Charge on, Army Strong.

You are just moving. It's not like the internet doesn't follow you. I will miss seeing you around town, but I expect you to keep posting and keep causing hate and discontent!

I would cut off both of my legs before I would do that.

If one of them wins the presidency it will be hard enough serving under them. THankfully there is a lot of advisors...and hopefully the next president will take their advice.

I remember serving under the Slickster. While he was (being accused of) raping women and shoving cigars up interns wahoo's the military was being cut left and right. There were days when we had to cancel training exercises because we didn't have the fuel or bullets to go and train or we would go and just do "dry fire".....In the day and age we are in that situation is the LAST thing we need.

Any truth to the stories about tank crews marching in formation around a field simulating tank maneuvers without a tank because of lack of fuel?

Hahaha...actually yes and no. It was standard training to do "walk throughs" or "rock drills" without our vehicles before we went out and did it full speed.....but yeah...we would stand there with our howitzer driver in front of us and walk like it would be the gun moving. We also did a lot of "dry fire missions" where we would do fire missions but just not fire anything. We couldn't always take all of our guns to the field because sometimes we couldn't get parts for them because our budget was cut.

LOL...classic!

Under Clinton the annual pay raises for the military were anemic. (shows what he thought of the military...After all he never planned on using them so what the hell...)

IN 1994 he even proposed to freeze military salaries. We had pay raises of like 1.6%, 2%, 2.4 %..not even enough to keep up with inflation.

In contrast under the Bush administration the military was brought back on line with their civilian counterparts by receiving raises of 4%, 6% and in some cases even over 7% with better benefits, better facilities and better equipment. NO wonder military OVERWHELMINGLY vote Republican.
