| Sara Lee 100% whole wheat at Dillon's was like $3.29 the other day if I remember right.

| Oh. I don't shop there. I also don't eat Sara Lee. The bread that comes from the local HyVee is about half that or maybe a little less...

![]() Those store brand breads contain a lower grade of ingredients, and they tend to go bad a lot faster than the more expensive kind. I buy a store brand, if it will be eaten within a couple of days. However, a normal name brand, will last over a week or more. I prefer my bread to be brown or white, green bread doesn't turn me on! |

| I just don't think the government should bail out these people that are "living beyond their means." Instead of buying that $3 Sara Lee they should be buying that $1.50 Rainbo bread. Instead of buying that $5 a gallon Hiland milk they should be buying that $2.50 a gallon Great Value. I shouldn't have to bail you out because you live beyond your means. Oh wait a minute... Wrong thread. Never mind ![]()

| That is a specialty bread, I bought a loaf yesterday for .69 cents. I bought a 2 pack of Ironkids for 2.19 a week ago and can readily purchase handmade breads for the amount you paid for that overpriced Sara Lee crap. |

Rainbo label is good bread, as far as quality. I prefer it to the Sara Lee label. However, Wonder bread tastes better to me, and is softer. You don't see much of it out here, as Walmart and Sara Lee try to keep it out of the area. Some of the store brands are made by the big label companies too. However, they do not seem to keep as long, so I assume they are of poorer quality. Dillons has its own bakery in Hutchinson, but I have trouble keeping it very long too. If I can eat it up quickly, I usually buy store brands. However, if I have to throw it away because it molds, it seems less expensive to me to buy a better/higher priced label. OK, now that I have gotten off of the "Bread Wagon", where in the hell were we?? SORRY!!! |

| Your .69 loaf of bread you bought yesterday turns green the day after tomorrow, and that 2 pack of Ironkids might as well be renamed to Hemorrhoid Helper bread, as all it is good for is to add extreme bulk to your digestive system, which makes it crap, not the Sara Lee. I am single and my bread needs to last more than 3 days before turning green with mold. I only eat whole wheat bread for dietary reasons, you tell me a good quality bread that lasts longer than 3-4 days before molding that is cheaper and I will buy it.
