Well, it is Sirius -- my fiancee's mom got it for us and we had no idea we were even getting it...I actually haven't heard of XM...

Watch It!!!!

I did alright this year. Got some cash and gift cards, but the best for me was an 18 volt cordless drill and a Dremel with the new lithium ion battery. Also got a new DVD player from my girlfriend.

Let me break it down for you...
subscribers:
Sirius-a little over 2 million subscribers nationwide
XM-a little over 5 million subscribers nationwide, that's not counting the XM service that is available on DirectTV

Factory installed vehicles:
Sirius-Ford
XM-GM,Honda,Toyota,Nissan,

Maybe you could trade the sirius radio in for an XM.

I am planning on getting XM radio for both of our vehicles in the near future. If you do a contract, it's cheaper, and each account after the first one is only $7.99 a month. With some of the places I drive, it is well worth it.

Actually, the family plan lets you get radio's 2-5 for $6.99. I have a Roady2 and a MyFi. I would suggest a MyFi...you can get one at Walmart for $150 with a $50 rebate. It comes with the car kit and a home kit so you can listen to it everywhere. In the car, on your home stereo and carry it around with the headphones. You can also record up to 6 hours of programming to listen to where you can't get a signal!

Eeek. Still, the Sirius is much better than the amount of stations I get on regular radio! The vehicles they are installed in speaks louder than the number of subscribers.
