| Isn't posession 9/10ths of the law? Chain it to a fencepost or the garage. When the owner comes around, offer to sell it back to him for a nominal fee (storage fee).

| Talk to the sherriff. He will probably tell you to run an ad in the paper for a couple of weeks, then if nobody claims in 90 days, you have ownership. I had something similar in a different county.
