| Abandon vehicles When does a vehicle left on your property become abandon? Yesterday I came home to find a motorcycle parked at my garage door. It has no tag and at first I figured it was stolen. I called the police who promptly came out and ran the VIN. I was not listed as stolen and since it was on private property, mine, they cannot tow it. They said I could have it towed, but I may need to pay to have it towed. It's blocking my garage entrance and since it's locked up I can't move it. I want to know whats the process and how long before it is considered abandon? How about a storage fee?

| Isn't posession 9/10ths of the law? Chain it to a fencepost or the garage. When the owner comes around, offer to sell it back to him for a nominal fee (storage fee).

| Talk to the sherriff. He will probably tell you to run an ad in the paper for a couple of weeks, then if nobody claims in 90 days, you have ownership. I had something similar in a different county.

| Can't you just hot wire it and join the Patriot Guard. Hate to see a good motor cycle go to waste and the Guard is one of the greatest things we have going for us now. |
