What I think Sherry is trying to say is that she is a stay at home mom because she has two small children and it's better to raise a child that way than shoving them in daycare and working. They have one car and do without some things so they can pay off bills and give their kids the attention they need.

I would call and ask, a lot of places have the must be __ or older or must be accompanied by an adult.

The illegals have taken all the yard mowing jobs and odd jobs away from the kids...lol. Damn the cheap labor.

Personally...I don't feel that there should be a set age. There are 16 year olds that can't be left unsupervised and there are 12 year olds that conduct themselves like a responsible person. I would judge the situation by your child and how mature they are and how they behave AND the environment they will be in and who they will be around. If there is a higher propensity for wrong doing due to peer influence + environment then I would supervise.

I even put the dog to work at my house. Hell, it takes 3 incomes to buy gas!
