I would call and ask, a lot of places have the must be __ or older or must be accompanied by an adult.

Personally...I don't feel that there should be a set age. There are 16 year olds that can't be left unsupervised and there are 12 year olds that conduct themselves like a responsible person. I would judge the situation by your child and how mature they are and how they behave AND the environment they will be in and who they will be around. If there is a higher propensity for wrong doing due to peer influence + environment then I would supervise.
