On a recent road trip from Wichita back to the Colorado mountains on the blue highways, I noticed almost all of the big rigs were doing either the speed limit or below. The truckers have finally figured out how to save some money, but let the market do that, not the government lowering the speed limits.

or that comes from a farm. (which is virtually everything) quote AoO

What the hell you talking about Army boy? Every F-ing thing we sell is WHOLESALE and we pay retail for supplies back!! I am waiting for the day this damn Country is begging for food, then see who's ass is in a bind. Agri industry is paying the same damn price for fuel as the rest of you takers, no discounts for us.

On a lighter note: Went to Armed Forces Day Saturday and set cruise on 55, HOLY SH*T took forever to get to Dodge. Filled up before we left and again the next morning. Driving a '99 Chevy Z71 with 113,000 miles on it. Usually get 17mpg, got 19.3 driving 55! Maybe (just maybe) we should. Like one poster said, guess we could leave earlier.

We are a spoiled people, I included

Ok, alright.....I can slow my ass down just a bit. Instead of 80, I promise to get up half an hour earlier and drive the speed limit to work. But I better see some difference at the gas pump, else it's back up (till they catch me...)!

I meant that virtually everything we buy is shipped on a truck (OR) comes from a farm.
