| As someone with a little experience in the oil industry, I own an 800 foot hole in the ground in Santa Claus Ind., plus my stepdad was in the oil business all his life. the oil companies (big oil the ones making the huge profits) do not explore for oil and gas. The little companies ie; wildcatters, do the exploring find the oil then sell the field to exxon shell ect. who then develope a known enity. taxing shells profits cannot be passed on to the consumer because we are taxing profits!! after expenses. we are taxing money that is normally distributed to share holders. all congress would be doing is raising the amount of income tax they pay before the sharholders get theirs. YES WE NEED drill anwar, off shore and anywhere we can plus develope alternative energy.Hydrogen is ready to go we just need a distribution system. |
