Here is my design for a test core/electrode. All parts bought from hardware store. Now I'm looking for a housing. The bolts will stick out the side of the housing and electricity will be applied to the posts. I used vacuum hose as insulators between each plate. They alternate so that every other plate is connected one bolt(+) and the other(-) plates make contact with the other.

This is only a test core so that we can experiment with ideas.

First test was a success. Here it is makin bacon... er hydrogen.

Well I am now! I gave it the burn test yesterday and let me say I learned a valuable lesson and no one got hurt.

I stuck my lighter up to the top nozzle where the hydrogen will be feed to the engine to make sure it was producing hydrogen. I expected a nice constant blue flame but instead got a small explosion. Yes hydrogen DOES burn much quicker than I expected. The flame must have flashed back into the nozzle and ignited the hydrogen at the top of the bottle.

I saw no flame at all, just a loud sharp bang and felt air hit my stomach. The lid must have lifted when the hydrogen in the bottle exploded and hit my stomach. Yes it is producing hydrogen! I won't be doing that again.

My next plan is to try and get a measurement on the amount of hydrogen being produced. I plan to put a balloon over the nozzle and see how long it takes to fill it up. From that I know I've seen a formula to calculate how much is being produced.
