| Smoking Ban When is this supposed to happen? I know it passed..and I had heard somebody say they were waiting for the Willie Nelson concert to be over.... And it is! It has been! What's the hold up? Just wondering

| smoking ban September 1st. They made it so far off so that business owners would have the time necessary to prepare for the change. They were also hoping that our no-balls legislature would do something so they wouldnt have to. But they didnt so they did. Clear as mud? LOL Bottom line.....Sept 1st. |

| The current ordinance seems to have provided a solution for the casino. I can't remember the wording but a smoking area must have sufficient ventilation; so any new construction can be engineered to meet that section of the ordinance. |

| KONQ, that is correct. MITUSA, not at all, but only for the reason KONQ mentioned. The two groups knew going in what was coming and they are both ready to build a casino with that specially ventilated smoking area, as they build from scratch. They will actually have it far easier than any other existing business that chooses to meet the criteria for smoking area. Most wont and will go non-smoking, which was of course the idea. |
