If Hays can support two of them Dodge can support one, easily.
One of ours started as a little shack in a parking lot. About the size of a sno-cone shack. He now has a nice building near campus. Good traffic, too. Coffee Rules - Espressos-Lattes-Smoothies Great place to meet with friends, clients, or just kick back and surf.
The other one is downtown in "The Chestnut Street District". Live music most Friday nights. Open mike night occasionally. Important part of our Art Walk nights. MySpace.com - Cafe Semolino - HAYS, Kansas - Folk Rock / Acoustic / Indie - www.myspace.com/cafesemolino
Note the upcoming Art Walk.
My reason for posting this is my confidence in your fair city's ability to financially support a coffee shop. The two we have are distinctly different so they don't really compete with each other. I would encourage a savvy DB investor to contact one or both for ideas and suggestions. I am sure Jason at Coffee Rules would be glad to answer your questions.
Well now WAIT just a dern minute!....

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a
delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an
unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the
proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd
by the clean end."
Hastings should look into this. It would be great in their 'reading' area.
Thanks for asking! He'd been having back and leg pain for a quite a while and finally had enough. The surgeon went in a 1 1/2 inch incision and trimmed off a portion of a disc that was protruding from the spinal column. We went in at 10:30 and I delivered him back home around 8 tonite. He was awake and chatting by 3:30 and ate a decent dinner around 5:30. I was completely amazed. When I had my last disc taken, I was in the hospital 4 days and off work 4 weeks. He'll return to light duty at the parts counter on Monday. They gave him a prescription for pain meds, but told him they expected he'd be just fine with Advil. I filled the prescription for him anyway. He ought to be comfy for at least a day or so, right? And if he doesn't use 'em, I can find a good place for 'em!
When the goin' gets tough, the tough go shoppin'!![]()
There is a little coffee "hut" in Dodge. That little trolley out in front of True Value kinda across from the mall... I'm sure they don't have Wifi though. :p
it's only drive through also.
I've always thought that a Cybercafe would go over really well in Dodge.
The difference between ninjas and crazy people is ninjas throw shurikens and spears, crazy people throw tantrums and poop.
