No but Andy Rooney is a respected individual who some people automatically agree with or believe what he’s says because of his history. By putting his name on this some people might say, "well if Andy can say it then it must be alright."

I'm not arguing the validity of any of it at this point. I'm just saying that it is perpetuating a lie that Roony is the author. It should be noted for those people that he has actually called them hurtful and detestable remarks.

He actually believes... "Some of the remarks, which I will not repeat here, are viciously racist and the spirit of the whole thing is nasty, mean and totally inconsistent with my philosophy of life."

As far as you being racist I'd have to say everyone has some amount of racism running through them and if they say they don't the are lying. Personally I can't stand the French.

If you want honest debate as to what's in these statements then do your homework, find out it's not really Andy's stuff, post it as anonymous and go with it.

Don't perpetuate a lie.

Remarks

Sorry Bubba, I wasn't calling anyone a liar. I was just trying to think that I have heard that somewhere else. And I do not believe, at that moment, that it had Andy Rooney's name on it. I, myself, would like to just know the facts on who said it. Some of the quotes are very interesting and some speak miles of truth, in my opinion.

I do believe that credit is due to the person who wrote this. Whether you agree with the statements are not. I was just trying to get the facts.

Anyway..... here is to you!!

No problem, I didn't take your post in a way that you were calling anybody a liar. I think whoever said it chose his or her words very well and I didn't take anything that was said as being racist at all.
