We used to use Kay at the Dodge City Vet Clinic on East Trail.

Bubba, I bought one of those things. Can't even get close to the dog with it. Evidently, it scares the crap out of the dog. :o Now, if you have about 3 or 4 extra hands to hold the dog, it might work.

I have a friend who has a Pedipaws and says that their dogs don't mind it at all, but if you come at them with a pair of regular clippers they will run like you've got a torch in your hand. Mine don't exactly "like" the nail clippers either, but they know that I will pin their fuzzy asses down until I'm done and it's too bad what they want, so they tolerate it. I still have to pin them down on occasion but they don't really try to pull away too hard generally, more of a "token" pull. I usually catch my lab mix when she's laying on the living room floor, I sit down by her and trim her up while she's half snoozing. The little brown dude is different, I usually have to flip him on his back between my knees while I am sitting on the floor to get his done. He's only about 8mo though, the lab is 2yrs.

Kayla has trimmed our Schnauzer since birth and does a great job in every way. So much so, that our dog get's very excited when you even say Kayla's name. We could not recommend her higher - and she just expanded her business to accept additional clients.
We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box
