Real or not, this time...

That woman is out there and I've shot her wedding.

Several times.

I talked to a photographer (did I spell that right?) that refuses to do weddings just for that reason. He also said it's hard to please EVERYONE and although it pays well it's not worth it...

LOL! I am sure you guys have some interesting stories to tell~!

I have a pretty laid back personality and am always amazed to see a meltdown over some pretty small things - I remind my DH frequently how lucky he is - right! LOL

I did a wedding dance, was to be 200 people attending. I even choreographed the wedding itself. Did the music and everything. Anyway....

Day of wedding, all places set, bride glowing..........10 people show up counting the family already there. 10 whole people. No bad weather, nothing to keep them away. I was shocked. Anyway, I go ahead and set up for the dance, thinking more would show up to that...........nope. The wedding party basically moved to the adjoining bar and I played for 4 hours to a basically empty room. I really felt bad for the bride's family, they shelled out some major bucks. I assume the marraige probably lasted about as long as the reception. Turns out the groom and his kin decided to leave early and go to another bar............it was no shock to me. I would say, on the food chain, after meeting them, they ranked about in the single cell organism range.

I love a wedding party that can roll with it. If EVERYTHING goes off as planned and perfectly choreographed it's pretty demned dull.

The best memories happen when something odd happens.

The best piece of advice I give is, Make your plans and then let things happen as they may. Nothing too horrible is going to happen.

Oh, I agree 100% Wordy. Problem with dances is most of the couples really do not think things out, or have a backup plan. Wedding dances OUTDOORS in October are not good. Had one of those. Not letting the DJ play what the crowd wants, within reason, turns out bad too. (4 hours of unheard of Country and Western, no line dances, nothing fast and no lights). Bad planning of a dance usually, no matter how hard one tries, turns really bad really fast. I have a list of things that the couple should plan on when doing a dance that i give them ahead of time. I have found out that those who do not heed most of the advice have a really bad dance. They then give me this look of "Bastard" if it turns out bad.

Of course it can't be their fault.
