| Hehe. That is funny Actually, for those who swing a detector this scenario is quite common. You get a good signal that says the target is like 5" deep but even after 12" you find nothing although the signal gets stronger. It does indicate a larger object much deeper. The average detector is calibrated for coin sized objects so it gets confused on a large one very deep. I've often wondered what I've missed by passing the signals up.
