| Great story, Problem is this, with her disclaimer. "Insurance is optional, but once I drop the package at the post office, it is no longer my responsibility." This is incorrect and she could get scammed. As a seller, you are responsible for the package to reach it's destination. These types of disclaimers are not enforcable. If I was to buy it and it got lost or shreeded, the seller is responsible. The scam goes in like this. From reading her disclaimer at the end, it is appearant that she will just stick this in the mail with no delivery confirmation or insurance (if not purchased). Scammers can read too, so the scammer buys the item. Seller ships. Buyer gets the item then claims they never received it. PayPal or Credit card payments will be refunded to the buyer for non received goods and the seller is out of the product and the listing fees. Insurance and Delivery Confirmation is to protect the SELLER not the Buyer. As a seller you have to PROVE that the item arrived at their home which either confirmation or insurance will provide. Just stick it in the mail and you are making a big mistake. PayPal and credit cards are immediatly refunded. If you have already spent the money, then your account with payPal will be frozen until you pay the money back to the buyer. Ever read someone put that in their item discription and you automatically know they do not understand or have not read Ebay policy. Prime Bait for a Scam. |
