I think that the birds would stay the hell away from the windmills if for no other reason than they make a lot of noise when they are turning, not to mention turbulence. I bet its pretty rough air around those things if you are a small bird.

The blades aide in natural selection. Whatever birds are stupid enough to fly into those slow moving blades should be eliminated from the bird gene pool.

Maybe we need to build that there new security fence at the southern border of United States and Mexico a little further north like at Monty Wind Farm and maybe natural selection would work better. Just an Idea.

I am thinking that we need to import some of those tigers that are in the news the last couple of days. Seems like they prefer mexican food.

From what was on the news today, it seem that the containment wall on the tiger pen wasn't tall enough. Call me picky, but I think someone should have noticed this before the kitty ate the kid. I used to live a few houses away from Rick Armstrong (remember the D.C. tiger guy??) and I always wondered if that 8 foot chain link fence would hold back a determined tiger. I doubt it. I always figured when we went walknig down Park. St. that we would eventually see a pile of Rick leftovers out in the backyard...

It was an 18 foot wall with a 20 foot moat against it. So kitty would have had to leap about 27 feet from the bank to clear both. That’s one heck of a jump.

There was also a 4 foot wall to keep folks back away from the 18 foot wall where they found the stupid kid’s footprint.

But the 20-foot moat was dry. Never had water in it. Never. Despite reports that the zoo safety committee had cited them for the short fence, the zookeeper says they've never been cited. Everybody's running around covering their ass. I'm just glad the tiger didn't escape during the day when more people might have been hurt or killed.
