| My boss had me do a calculation last year to figure the tip speed on the blades at the Spearville wind farm. I wont go through all of the math, but those things are going 155 mph at the ends of the blades. makes you think... |

| I haven't checked it out but my (tree hugger) daughter told me that migrating birds don't fair too well when contact is made.  I dunno but animals of any kind have a hard time where "man" is concerned.

| So, do you really find where migratory birds have been killed by the blades? If so, how many per year do you figure? I have stomped around some of the windmills during hunting season, and I have never seen a dead animal there.
