Would you re-marry?

A husband and wife are sitting quietly in bed reading when the wife
looks over at him and asks the question....

WIFE: 'What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?'

HUSBAND: 'Definitely not!'

WIFE: 'Why not? Don't you like being married?'

HUSBAND: 'Of course I do.'

WIFE: 'Then why wouldn't you remarry?'

HUSBAND: 'Okay, okay, I'd get married again.'

WIFE: 'You would?' (with a hurt look)

HUSBAND: (makes audible groan)

WIFE: 'Would you live in our house?'

HUSBAND: 'Sure, it's a great house.'

WIFE: 'Would you sleep with her in our bed?'

HUSBAND: 'Where else would we sleep?'

WIFE: 'Would you let her drive my car?'

HUSBAND: 'Probably, it is almost new.'

WIFE: 'Would you replace my pictures with hers? '

HUSBAND: 'That would seem like the proper thing to do.'

WIFE: 'Would you give her my jewelry?'

HUSBAND: 'No, I'm sure she'd want her own.'

WIFE: 'Would you take her golfing with you?

HUSBAND: 'Yes, those are always good times.'

WIFE: 'Would she use my clubs?

HUSBAND: 'No, she's left-handed.'

WIFE: -- silence --

HUSBAND: 's%#@.'

This is a good question. How many of you all would remarry if you lost your spouse? I, for one, wouldn't. It's just too hard, at this time, to meet & date people. Then there is the training involved...

My hubby and I have talked about this. I tell him there is no way I'd remarry it's to hard to live with someone- especially if they haven't been trained!

My wife is 7 years younger than me and women outlive men by about 10 years. So, I've told her she's going to have a lot of good years after I'm gone and she better not deny herself one bit of happiness or enjoyment because of me or my memory.

I’ve told her that once I’m gone she has no obligations to me whatsoever and if she can find one , she should bring a date to my funeral.

Hubby and I have talked about it, too. I don't think he's taking the subject seriously, though. He's OK if I date after he's gone, but he, too, wants to bring his date to the funeral. After all, that's the day she'll be moving into the house....

I am on my second marriage now. My wife is 9 1/2 years older than me. If I am lucky she will go before me and then I can enjoy the last ten years of my life in peace as a single man. However the more likely story will be that I do something that pisses her off and she kills me. The judge would rule that it was justified and she lives happy on my life insurance.
