This is a parody on an actual British TV cooking programme that was on in the 1960's with cook Fanny Craddock & her husband Johnny who liked a drink!

Ironically Benny started life as a milkman in Southampton, Hampshire, (I don't think you had such people in the US (?) - they delivered fresh milk in glass bottles to your doorstep on a daily basis - now its mostly in cartons from supermarkets. He scored a chart hit with this song. To my ears you can hear his Hampshire accent come through a bit.

have you ever seen "chitty chitty bang bang"? He was the toymaker in that movie.

We only get the regular cable channels through Cox. We have a 12 yr old in the house & we don't want any extra channels that they shouldn't watch. To get BBC, we'd have to get other channels that aren't appropriate.

I agree Monster, Paul Whitehouse is brilliant, he's a great writer, (invented Loadsamoney character for Enfield), and a great comic actor.
Pity about being a Spurs fan, now if he supported a decent team, like say, West Ham ......
