One order of business with SBC (now AT&T) is to inform them 45 days before your introductory price'd term expires that you want to renew your contract. They WILL simply not tell you; but wait until that contract expires and start billing you at the higher rate ...... because your cheaper contract has then expired. It no longer exists.

You must renew it.

SBC & AT&T aren't moral nor are they always legal. They have paid enormous amounts of (their subscriber's) money (fines) to the FCC and other regulatory bodies.

Well I decided to try it. For a year I am getting it at 12 something a month and 3 months free to start! I will let you all know how it goes.

Good luck, Poots....don't see how you can really go wrong at that price...you can always switch at year-end when they raise the price.

Internet Service

I am past my year with SBC and had no trouble at all. In Dec I got a new phone bill after I had signed up for a new package deal. With internet & phone service the bill was to run around $75.00 a month, well it was $134.78. I called to find out what the problem was and the lady on the other end said she would find out for me and within 2 minutes she told me my phone & internet was $77.01.Some one had made a mistake. I haven't had a bill over $75.00 since. I'm stay-in where I'm at.

And that's where I'm lucky. Up here, there's so much competition, it just takes a phone call and the bill is reduced to a less astronomical amount. I don't know what your competition is like in Ford County. I'd hate that, I think.

Just curious, do your bills still say SBC or do they now say AT&T?

Sbc

Both.
I had my fill with AT&T about 5 years ago. Said I would never use them again. I;m wondering why their ads say AT&T the new SBC. I thought SBC bought out AT&T. Am I backwards?
