| The "doomaflichy," meaning the scale in the upper right corner. People can either approve or disapprove of your post. As you get approvals your Rep power grows and you get more green bars. You can view what approvals and disapprovals you have in the User CP section.
Also, some people don't sign their approvals & disapprovals so you never know who gave it too you, but I always make it a point to sign mine.
