I didn't even have time to get the announcement out.
If you think a post includes some important "how to" or "news" content or may be enjoyed by the worldwide community, you can submit the post to the diggit community. Posts are then voted on and ranked by the diggit community and receive pagerank status based upon the number of votes.
This feature will not only increase our visibility in the worldwide Internet community but also may increase member registration rates by attracting new users to the board.
NOTE: You should not randomly submit any ole post. The post won't make sense to any Digg members if it is posted out of context. Posts submitted should be all inclusive and informative posts. You may also select a thread. This is the best thing to do when information is scattered throughout the thread and you think it would be a good thread to submit to the whole world.
Be careful about submitting what others outside of Dodge City may judge as a useless post or thread, as this will drive down our ranking within the Digg community.
Another reason to submit posts to Digg is this will increase our "linkbacks" status. The more links on other Internet sites that direct users to DodgeBoard.com, the higher we are ranked by search engines. The higher our ranking, the more results linking back to us appear higher up in the pages on search engines. The higher up we are, the more people find us when doing a search. This better syndicates our content and improves member registration goals.
Remember,
Sherie Giskie found us in Google, and she is local.
Oh, and you must signup with Digg to submit threads or posts.

| What is Digg?
Digg is a user driven social content website. Ok, so what the heck does that mean? Well, everything on digg is submitted by the digg user community (that would be you). After you submit content, other digg users read your submission and digg what they like best. If your story rocks and receives enough diggs, it is promoted to the front page for the millions of digg visitors to see.
What can you do as a digg user? Lots. Every digg user can digg (help promote), bury (help remove spam), and comment on stories... you can even Digg and bury comments you like or dislike. Digg also allows you to track your friends' activity throughout the site — want to share a video or news story with a friend? Digg it!

Oha and BTW, I added a myspace entry in the database so anyone that has one can now enter it in their UserCP. It will then showup on their posts.
