Outlook Mail

Admin, is there a way to retrieve our DBMail with Outlook Express. Just curious?

I'm not gunna pretend that this is an answer but I believe it's not a POP mail server.

Other than that, how cold was the carwash today?

Unfortunately, there is no way to use Outlook with your @Dodgeboard.com email address. This is due to the way the PHP system interfaces with the IMAP mail system and the way we redirected email to the board.

We struggled with this when deciding whether to implement the DB email. On one hand, we would have to give up pop email for 3 users. On the other hand, we would gain email for all the other members.

We may look at something further on down the road that offers pop access, but at this time, only web access is supported.

The advantage of the current system is this:
It is presumed that you already have a primary email addy with POP access.
With your DB email account, you, the user can change your alias at anytime. This is good because you can use your @dodgeboard.com email on websites where you may normally get spammed. Then, once you start getting spammed, you can simply change the alias. You are notified at your primary email (email listed in your usercp) when email is received at your DB alias. This protects your primary POP account by adding an additional layer of security.
